Meet CSTA Colorado’s New Vice President and Treasurer!

Vice President

Louana Prunty

Headshot of Louana Prunty

I am an educator with over 14 years of experience across multiple grade levels. I currently teach 6th-grade social studies and computer science at Grand Mountain School in the Widefield School District. I am passionate about integrating innovative tools to make learning interactive and engaging. My goal is to spark curiosity, promote critical thinking, and build digital literacy to support both the academic and personal growth of every student.

While in office, I hope to increase our presence and influence in the education community, establish/nurture partnerships with local educational institutions and other relevant organizations, be a support to the president and other members of our chapter, and help advance computer science education throughout Colorado.

Treasurer

Sonia Spindt

Headshot of Sonia Spindt

Sonia Spindt has been a computer science and data science instructor for the last ten years. She previously held the position of CSTA secretary and is now looking to take on a new role as treasurer. She is constantly inspired by her students and is excited to continue to empower them to explore STEM fields and careers within the technological sector. If you can’t find her in the classroom, you can usually find her in the car -- she loves to go on road trips when she can and believes the best way to experience a new culture is through food!

I hope to organize some fundraising events so that we can raise funds to host more social events across the state.
