This month's learning will be lead by Christine Liebe, from Colorado School of Mines. Our topic this month will be Teaching English Language Learners in Computer Science: Examine ways to teach all aspects of language learning (reading, listening, speaking, writing) through contextual and direct instruction. Experience several types of scaffolding for ELL students in elementary, MS, and HS. Try a new instructional strategy (Byte, Write, Unite) from CSTA for HS ELL students. Crowdsource successful ELL instruction for CS.
